The 30th annual Taste of the Town was held January 28th at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott. Over 50 area restaurants along with local breweries came together to provide attendees a taste of their best dishes. Taste of the Town is produced by the Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce and benefits various programs hosted throughout the year by the Chamber. This year's presenting sponsor was Buckalew Chevrolet. Over 6,000 guests mixed, mingled, and noshed on samples while listening to entertainment throughout the night. The $25 ticket fee included unlimited samples as well as two drink tickets. The 5 hour event started at 4pm, but by 6pm the crowd was quite large. My advice for next year, get there as early as possible for a more enjoyable experience. My standout dishes for the evening included the Ahi Tuna Poke from Bazille, the Ahi Tuna Tacos from Del Frisco's Grille, and the White Cheddar Poblano Soup from The Refuge. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and an impressive showing from area businesses. I look forward to next year's event.
