Wine lovers get ready because Spain's Great Match 2015 is taking place November 10th at Silver Street Studios in Houston, Texas. The 20,000 square foot arts and event complex will be transformed into a wonderland of Spanish wine, food, and culture. Spain is the third largest producer of wine in the world. Spain's Great Match is an opportunity to sample and learn about distinct varietals such as Albariño, Verdejo, Garnacha, and Tempranillo. This fabulous event starts off with an exclusive walk around tasting and seminar for press and trade. Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible, will be the moderator of a "My Spain" tasting seminar from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. She will also be available to sign copies of her highly-anticipated second edition of The Wine Bible. From 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, guests will have the opportunity to talk to Spanish wine importers and distributors as they peruse a selection of over 200 wines. Register for the press and trade event here. This year the festival moves to its new home at Sam Houston Park. Margarita lovers will not want to miss out on the festivities taking place Saturday, November 7th from Noon to 10pm. Ticket prices start at $25 and include admission and one complimentary margarita. The first 10,000 attendees will receive a Houston Margarita Festival cup. Tickets are available through the official Festival website, www.houstonmargaritafest.com. Over 19 different flavors of margaritas will be available including: peach mango, cucumber apple, coconut, and jalapeno. All margaritas are made with 100% agave tequila and extra drinks may be purchased throughout the festival for $6 (cash only). Attendees will have access to a variety of food options as well as a full schedule of live entertainment. In addition to a fun day of drinks, food, and music, there will be a salsa dance competition, limbo contest, and a "Best Margarita Competition".
